Recent Burglaries in Jefferson/Brunswick Area
How To Report Suspicious Activity
Approximately
20 burglaries have been reported since February 1 along the 340 corridor,
including areas around the communities of Feagaville, `Jefferson, Adamstown,
Burkittsville and Brunswick.
The burglaries occurred on weekdays between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and
5:00 p.m. and the suspects forced entry into the homes. The thieves target jewelry, electronic
items and other easy valuables.
The
thieves typically inspect a house to determine if anyone is home. If not, they will break in, take
valuables and leave within a few minutes.
If confronted, they offer an excuse and leave.
If
you see such suspicious activity in progress, call 911 immediately. Note the vehicle license tag number and
a description of the suspects. A
picture with your cell phone or other camera would be helpful.
