Spring Fest Details

The Jefferson Ruritan Club will host the sixth annual Craft Show and Springfest featuring a large selection of juried crafters.  All crafter applicants are reviewed and approved by Beverly Zienda (coordinator for the Thurmont COLORFEST) and include a large juried Craft Show on Saturday and Sunday,  a 5K Walk/Run (Saturday), and a horseshoe pitching contest.  Saturday entertainment will include a tractor pull for children.  Sunday entertainment will include the Skip Wizards.  Live Country Bands are planned for Saturday and Sunday from 2 until 5 p.m.

Located at the intersection of US 340 and Lander Road in beautiful Jefferson, (Frederick County) Maryland.  It’s just 8 miles from Frederick and about 50 miles west of Washington and Baltimore.

Craft Show

We are featuring the finest crafter in the mid-Atlantic region.  The craft show coordinators are Ted Zimmerman and Beverly Zienda.  The exhibitor must make all crafts.  The application must include at least 2 photos of your work and a self-addressed stamped envelope.  Return your application by (tbd).  Space rental fee will be $50.00.  For any application received after April 15^th,  the fee will be $60.00.  Your space assignment will be mailed to you along with your photos and all pertinent information by April 15^th, 2005.

5K Run/Walk

This is our 6th annual 5K Run/Walk beginning on Saturday at 9 a. m. Warm-up, T-shirt pick up and registration will be from 8 - 8:45 a. m. Registration is $15. Awards will be presented to the top three overall men and women: first place $100, second place $50, and third place $25. To learn more about the race or to get a registration form call 301-473-7215.  The last several years have been an overwhelming success with over 100 runners on most occasions.  The Jefferson run is on the Steeplechaser’s Grand Prix.  Come join us.  It’s a great run.
